Konstrundan

It feels so good to celebrate Easter again. I can't remember the last time I had a real celebration with feathers and eggs and family and all that stuff. The best with Easter in south Sweden is Konstrundan where we went today. Konstrundan is an art exhibition where artists open up their studios and homes to visitors for two weeks. We started with the western part of Skåne today, and combined art with some sightseeing, outdoor lunch and a fika in Råå.

Early bird or night owl?

Are you an early bird or night owl, or are you maybe lucky enough to be both? I am for sure a night owl and one of the things I was looking forward to the most with me sabbatical was to be able to sleep as long as I like in the morning. And so I do, but it doesn't mean that I sleep more than usual. Nope, to be honest, I think I've never slept less than during these last months. There is so much I want to do, and with Anna as your flat mate, you definitely never go to bed early. No, you stay up until it's dark in all other apartments and when I was walking her dog before we went to bed, it happened that I met the newspaper carrier... Today, I decided to see what it's like to wake up early. The alarm went off quarter to six, I went by bike to the train station enjoying a beautiful sunrise and I was then nothing else than a mobilezombie on the train to my parent's place. My conclusion: the bed is my best friend before 8 AM, but also the morning has its beauty and you don't die if you change your habits and wake up early once in a while.

Swedish meatballs

I have mainly been cooking Asian food for a couple of weeks, followed by a week with more vegetables than usual and now it´s time for a week with traditional Swedish food. Et voilà, here is a proof of today's result.

Where I lay my head

The wonderful time at Anna´s place has now come to an end. She has got a new flatmate and I have moved myself and all my stuff to Håkan´s place. Since I would like to live with both of them and preferably some pensioners too, me and Anna are already talking about having a community in a couple of years. We would like to share a house in the countryside outside Malmö. There is only a small tiny little problem: I have to get used to the countryside and the darkness and the lack of people. Well, right now I am happy in the city, enjoying the flat sharing with Håkan and I already feel at home at his place. As long as I am around people who I like, I actually feel at home quite fast, so yes, I could say that home is where I lay my head.
