My last days in Sweden

I saw some ice bears in the streets in Malmö in June, but I choose to escape and had no time for pictures. It was rainy as well and the umbrella was my best friend. Well, I had some other friends too, and we had a really nice time, despite the weather. We celebrated a birthday in Malmö, made an excursion to Skanör-Falsterbo, visited the best cafe on the planet - Lillaro - and we made a boat tour through the canals of Malmö and went to Västra hamnen for the last sunset during my sabbatical in Sweden. Älmhult

Älmhult can be a pretty boring place, mainly consisting of big blue and yellow signs with four letters. But there are also some really nice spots. Here comes my best of from this weekend.

I did it!

After a party and a beautiful sunrise in Halmstad, we have now continued to Småland. Staying next to a lake, I had no other choice than going for a swim. And I did enjoy the diving with the other dolphins and see lions.

The bookworm in me

May I give you some inspiration for the hammock? Here is the literature which I brought with me to Åstol. To start from the bottom: "Djurens rike" - a wonderful adult colouring book. "20 sätt att rita en katt och 44 andra fantastiska djur" - a great sketchbook with 20 ways to draw a cat and 44 other animals. "Craft-a-doodle" is a book with creative exercises and was a goodbye-gift from Nina when I left Switzerland. "Mein Buch für alle Tage" - I love this sweet little book. Thank you Aniela! "Strengthsfinder" has not been read yet, so it will come with me to Croatia. "Vi" / "Us" by David Nicolls is a sweet and fun novel about a family, their crises and their last weeks together on a trip through Europe. A feel good story. Then we have "Egenmäktigt förfarande", a Swedish book about love, passion, hope and about how much we want to give of ourselves. I think you will recognise yourself in this book. At least I did so, and I hope I will not be in Esther´s situation again. "Definitionen av liv" / "A constellation of vital phenomena". This is what I am reading right now, so I can´t really say anything yet. Now I leave you for my hammock. Ciao ciao!

The snake island

Unfortunately, I am not in shavasana mood anymore. Three snakes changed the situation, two baby-snakes and one dinosaur. Well, Dyrön, the island next to Åstol, is still beautiful, except for the dangerous animals, the beach was great and the water was perfect for a swim (at least if you ask Mr Wiking).

Åstol, this tiny little island is so sweet! I have been here ones before, and the place is exactly as beautiful as I remember it to be. I think this would be the perfect place for me to live: you´re close to the nature, but at the same time you are close to other people. It´s something like an island community. That sounds great, doesn´t it.

Stömma farmlodge

Strömma farmlodge: a long awaited visit! And now we finally did it, on our way from Malmö to Bohuslän. You could say this place is still under construction, but it´s a dream for everyone with a bohemian heart. 

In motion

I have been a wanderer in the last couple of weeks and I love it. I have not been traveling any long distances, but I have been more or less all over Skåne and it has not only been beautiful destinations, but also the transportation has been enjoyable. I really like the traveling as such: drinking coffee (one of the few times I really like coffee is when I buy a take away coffee at the train station - very strange, I know), reading books, observing people, looking out the window to count the cows out there, listening to music and the "Vorfreude" with soon being at your destination.

Welcome June

How to celebrate the first day of June? Me, Anna and Ashi thought it was a good idea to spend the afternoon at St. Knut, which is a nice spot in Malmö with some small sweet cafes. I mean, the sun was shining, we had a rhubarb dessert, flower shoes and plenty of time. I could not imagine a better start of this month.
